ELEMENTALS Birds is a very special experiment to see if people in the creative arts can physically embody feelings of peace, harmony, and goodwill in their work and tangibly affect the showing environment. Elementals are the manifestations of thoughts that once attached to their creator are fed by further thoughts and actions.
Directly from the Richard F. Brush Gallery, NY, USA, Inga and Andy Hamilton bring
Elementals Birds to R-
During their recent US tour, their project instigated a domino effect across the artistic and medative spectrum. Composers have written music inspired by the artists' birds, in turn, inspiring dancers to choreograph pieces, film makers to film them, and printmakers to produce prints reflecting all of these practices. Meditation sessions will continue to be held amongst the birds here in Lisburn.
The show is also a charitable catalyst, with projects being set up to feed the homeless, plant trees and commit random acts of kindness towards complete strangers.
37 pieces of work have already sold at affordable prices whilst others found new homes through exchange and gifting processes. Three book sculptures have been purchased for permanent collections. Visitors’ comments included such praise as “The work is of a higher calibre than that at the Corcoran in Washington DC”.
We have hundreds of photographs of the installation, which along with the stories behind the works, we are hoping will eventually become a book.

“Elementals is an experimental show conceived by myself and my husband, Andy Hamilton, aka MyTarPit, to see if artists, printmakers and craftspeople can physically embody feelings of peace, harmony and goodwill in their artwork and tangibly affect the environment in which it’s shown.”
