Artist Statement
My multi-disciplinary practice intertwines object, body and folklore. Blending the spaces between human and nonhuman animals, it encompasses the creation of ritual objects
for large-scale installations and the performance of their ceremonial rites.
My inhabitable sculptures and art jewellery echo rituals, tools and materials
worked by multiple species' communities, drawing on our shared
planet citizenship and all our ancestral makers.
Transferring my knowledge of these tools and materials through workshops gives participants permission to explore new ways of using craft in innovative ways.
I wish to envelop you through evocative storytelling; to engage every
sense; and paramountly, to instigate conversations about all species' making.
